What Journal Aesthetic Type Are You?

What Journal Aesthetic Type Are You?

Journaling is similar to art, a human being’s personality and feelings can be perceived from deep within the pages. Just like how we all have different fashion styles and bedroom aesthetics, we also have different personas when it comes to journaling. Here's the fascinating part- some people's journaling styles are completing different to how they portray to others! This isn't a bad thing, it's actually what makes us human. Why you may ask? Because as humans we sometimes tend hide our vulnerable side that we may not be comfortable sharing with others.

What's even better with Journaling is that you don't have to be great at art, there's absolutely no rules or boundaries. Some people prefer to journal their thoughts and feelings straight on to paper, some prefer to doodle their thoughts and some choose to use scrapbooking supplies with their creativity!

Here are a few different Aesthetics types you could potentially be. Or if you are struggling to find an aesthetic, these ideas could help you find your path in journaling!

 1. The Dazy Doodler

@AutumnAldrich

@Juliette Wallace

Dazy Doodler's like to use their imaginations and creativity by hand to journal. You don't necessarily have to be great at art to be a dazy doodler as there is no correct or wrong way to doodle. If you're new to doodling, one technique that can really help is using various sized nib markers to write titles. Another is using coloured markers to draw patterns on the page border.

@AutumnAldrich talented doodles above are a great inspiration on how you can make your journal planner look more fun. It's also an encouraging way to tick off your to do list!

@Juliette Wallace's amazing doodles are a great way to be creative and imaginative with just pen and paper.

2. The Serene Scrap booker

        @AprilAnnnine

Serene Scrap booker's love to get hands on when journaling. A person's feelings can be portrayed by how someone journals in this way. You can notice this by what kind of colour tone stickers they decide to stick on, how many and what type of stickers they decide to stick on. The fascinating part is that scrapbooking aesthetics can be interpreted in many different ways but only YOU know how you were feeling the moment you were scrapbooking that page.

@AprilAnnine's scrapbooking is a great example of how you can use various size stickers to scrapbook.

You can find scrap booking supplies in your local stationaries store. if you're looking for something more unique, our very own store INSPIRE is a great place to buy your supplies! There's definitely something for everyone.

3. The Wise Writer

@Sofia

Wise Writers love to pour everything they want to say on paper. This could be for different reasons, some people like to unload all their raw feeling in a private place, some remember to get tasks done when jotting it straight in to their journal and some just simply prefer it this way.

5. All Of the Above or None!

@Sammys.Journal

If you've come this far in the blog and don't feel like you could be one of the journaling type's above the this one's for you! As I said above, humans have no boundaries or limits to their thoughts and that's why sometimes we simply can't fit everyone in a group. That's what makes you so unique and special!

In @Sammys.Journal you can see how they implemented doodling, raw writing and scrapbooking all together and it looks fantastic.

As I'm writing this I've had a long think of an example I can give you all for those that aren't any of the aesthetics above. It's made me realise that I can't- as we all have different ideas on what this could be. For example, I sometimes prefer to journal on my notes app in my phone, which is a completely different way to journal. Some people may prefer this and other's wont. And that's okay because we are all well deserving humans with different amazing personalities living unique lives. I hope you have a great day <3
